Stephen qualified as a solicitor in 1988 and is currently Head of the Private Client Department involved in General Probate Administration, preparation of Wills, Lasting Power of Attorneys and Deputyship applications to the Court of Protection. Stephen also has a particular interest, and has many years’ experience, both in Civil, Personal Injury including asbestos related claims and contested Inheritance Act disputes.

Stephen is also a member of the Solicitors for the Elderly Group (SFE). Stephen is also chairman of the Crownhill Village Networking Group who strive to promote businesses and address concerns of local residents and businesses within the Crownhill and surrounding area.

Janet is an experienced family law solicitor, having specialised in family law since she qualified in 1993. Her particular areas of expertise are divorce and the division of the matrimonial finances and pensions, to include Armed Forces and other public sector pensions, and separation agreements, pre-marital agreements and cohabitation agreements. She also provides advice about private children law matters and cohabitation disputes

Janet aims to make the process of separation and divorce as painless as possible and to achieve an early resolution to enable separating couples to move on with their lives. Although Janet is focused on reaching negotiated settlements and achieving early solutions wherever possible, she has considerable litigation experience, having had cases in both the High Court and the Court of Appeal.

She is on the Law Society Advanced Family Panel (the higher tier of the Family Panel) and is a member of Resolution which is committed to reducing conflict and trying to resolve disputes. In her spare time, Janet enjoys spending time with her family and friends, running and walking the family pug in the local countryside.

Helen is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and is a residential conveyancer with over 25 years’ experience practising in the Plymouth area. In addition to all aspect of residential conveyancing work, including freehold and leasehold transactions, Helen has assisted with purchases involving the Help to ISA Buy and Right to Buy schemes. Helen enjoys travel, reading, cross stitch and music.
